Fortified churches and Bison Valley

Two Saxon fortresses in the morning, then out to the edge of the Carpathians, where European bison roam again at the Valea Zimbrilor reserve. A short forest walk leads to the Urlătoarea waterfall.

  4. Bison Valley, Acriș

    The reserve at Acriș keeps European bison, the continent’s largest land animal, which had vanished from Romania’s forests. Watch them from the paths around the enclosures.

  5. Urlătoarea waterfall

    A short walk through the forest to the waterfall, before the drive back to Brașov.

  6. Back in Brașov

    Back at your hotel in Brașov in the evening.
